Job Summary

Way Engineering is seeking a highly skilled VDC Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our construction technology team, you will be responsible for deploying VDC initiatives and technology platforms on projects, working closely with project teams to establish BIM/VDC execution strategies, and providing project-specific VDC support and subject matter expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement VDC strategies and plans for projects, ensuring successful deployment of VDC initiatives and technology platforms.
  • Collaborate with project teams to establish BIM/VDC execution strategies, providing project-specific VDC support and subject matter expertise.
  • Oversee project-specific VDC strategies, scope, and plans, ensuring adherence to WAY's best practices and high standards for predictable and efficient VDC delivery.
  • Prepare and manage sign-off sheets, ensuring timely completion of project tasks.
  • Ensure that each project hosted by Way Engineering utilizes the Project VDC Execution Plan and adheres to contractual requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support with contract language for BIM scopes, reviewing trade partner BIM qualifications and advising project teams.
  • As a detailer, you will possess a working knowledge of mechanical/plumbing systems, take direction from the lead detailer, and demonstrate a willingness to learn, improve, and refine current skills.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a flat-organization environment, requiring full transparency, team collaboration, leading by influencing, and socialization of initiatives.
  • Minimum 2-7+ years of construction technologies and hands-on experience in the AEC industry, driving the adoption of VDC on large capital projects.
  • Strong graphical, illustration, and documentation skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Technical Requirements
  • Advanced level software knowledge in Autodesk packages (i.e., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.) and other platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of contractor-facing authoring and collaboration tools such as Revit, 3D AutoCAD MEP, Inventor, etc.
  • Expert in leveraging and supporting Autodesk Navisworks Manage.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software tools.
