Fire Testing Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Testing Technician to join our team at QAI Laboratories Inc. As a key member of our Building Products team, you will be responsible for performing fire testing and evaluation of products to ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Conduct fire testing and evaluation of products to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Review test reports and documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Assist project managers with project milestones and budget management
• Collaborate with sales team to provide technical support and guidance on sales quotations
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

• Technical diploma in a related engineering discipline or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience in a structural or construction laboratory testing environment
• Knowledge of US and Canada building codes and referenced nationally recognized safety standards
• Ability to read, understand, and apply technical standards towards product certification, testing, and inspection
• Superior MS Word and Excel skills, proficiency with Email and Adobe Acrobat
• Good Laboratory Practice skills essential for testing products
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
