Job Description

At NOVAE LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Leader to drive our procurement strategy and ensure the acquisition of high-quality materials and freight services at optimal costs. This role involves developing and implementing procurement policies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce costs across our extensive manufacturing network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company's growth agenda and business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, including materials and freight movement, to ensure reliable sourcing and negotiate favorable terms that support growth initiatives.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize spending and manage inventory levels, ensuring the balance of quality and efficiency.
  • Assess and mitigate risks within the supply chain, ensuring compliance with regulations and sustainability standards.
  • Leverage data analytics to inform procurement decisions and enhance processes, contributing to overall business performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., finance, operations, and product development) to ensure alignment and support for organizational growth objectives.
  • Stay informed about market trends, new technologies, and best practices to enhance procurement processes and drive innovation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a sizable organization.
  • Proven track record of strategic sourcing, supplier management – including freight and logistics, and cost reduction in a growth-focused environment.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in data analysis and proficiency with procurement software and tools.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and sustainability practices.
