Responsibilities- Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, and other employees, ensuring a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Contribute to and participate in Performance/Quality Improvement activities, including data collection, analysis, and implementation of risk management and claims activities.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, prescribe medications, and manage patient care.
- Counsel patients and help them learn how their actions affect their health and wellbeing.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, licensed and currently registered as a Professional Nurse in the state of New York.
- Pass pharmacology examination with a grade of 90%.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in a healthcare setting.
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner, certified in field of specialty, and certified by the NY State Department of Education with prescriptive privileges.
- Bachelors in Nursing and Masters degree preferred.
- Basic Computer knowledge.
