The Analyst for Global Banking - Energy and Chemicals will play a pivotal role in the origination and execution processes for leading technology firms worldwide. This position involves maintaining strategic communications and delivering a comprehensive range of solutions, primarily centered on: Global Banking (including Credit and Lending, Leveraged & Acquisition Finance, Debt Capital Markets, and Equity Capital Markets), Transaction Banking (encompassing Global Payments and Global Trade Solutions), Global Markets (covering Foreign Exchange, Interest Rates, and Derivatives), and Global Asset Management. The aim is to strengthen client relationships, enhance banking revenues, and optimize relationship returns. A genuine passion for fostering relationships is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the capital allocation committee process, identifying key stakeholders and building strong connections with them.
  • Collaborate with the client service team (product partners and multinational teams) to ensure a unified approach to enhancing client relationships.
  • Track fee generation and manage financial reporting and analysis for the client portfolio effectively.
  • Support senior relationship managers in marketing efforts, pitching ideas, servicing client relationships, and driving income generation.
  • Utilize corporate finance knowledge and financial modeling skills to evaluate corporate credit profiles.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of clients within the portfolio, recognizing sector themes and trends, and assessing strengths and weaknesses.
  • Establish trusted relationships with Credit/Risk officers, confidently articulating insights clearly and concisely.
  • Work closely with the credit management team to maintain high-quality work standards, ensuring documentation is tailored to the client and specific transactions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Global Banking to achieve the overarching objectives of Global Banking and the Coverage Model.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external regulations and procedures applicable to the business activities.

Compensation and Benefits

HSBC offers a competitive salary range between $100,000.00 and $110,000.00 for this role. The final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors.   • Familiarity with HSBC Group systems and Global Banking processes is advantageous.
