Position Details
- Entry Rate: Competitive based on experience
- Benefits Eligibility: Not applicable
- Shift Information: PRN, with no guaranteed hours - expected to work between 16-20 hours weekly
Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and medical orders, ensuring proper preparation for imaging procedures.
- Address patient needs with sensitivity, providing clear explanations about the procedures to reduce anxiety and enhance cooperation.
- Conduct radiologic examinations that yield high-quality images while ensuring the safety of both patients and staff by adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Employ sterile techniques during invasive imaging procedures.
- Quickly recognize and respond to urgent patient situations as they arise.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including timestamps and image storage.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff, ensuring that all supplies and equipment are organized and accessible.
- Pursue ongoing education and professional development, particularly in new imaging techniques and technologies.
- Provide guidance and support to students and fellow Radiology Technologists regarding imaging protocols and equipment usage.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current ARRT registration.
- Valid Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- May need to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist within the first 90 days of employment and perform MA duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in IV therapy.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to carry, hear, lift, use manual dexterity, push/pull, see, speak, stand, and walk.
