ResponsibilitiesA typical day for a Healthcare Operations Supervisor at Hackensack Meridian involves:
- Managing the operational aspects of patient care in partnership with department leaders and team members, ensuring efficient patient flow and throughput.
- Conducting regular assessments across all hospital areas and nursing units to guarantee the delivery of safe and high-quality care.
- Completing designated projects and undertaking additional responsibilities as required.
- Providing support to bedside clinicians to address departmental needs as necessary.
- Leading efforts during emergency situations.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A current and valid New Jersey Nursing License.
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- ACLS certification.
- Preferred certifications include PALS, Telemetry, and IV Certification.
- National certification is also preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in acute care nursing, particularly in critical care or emergency settings.
- At least two (2) years of supervisory experience is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with leadership and motivational abilities.
- Strong critical thinking, program development, and project management skills.
- Experience in group facilitation and team building.
- Emotional maturity and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
