Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiography Specialist to join our team at UNC Health. As a key member of our cardiovascular imaging team, you will be responsible for performing all facets of cardiac ultrasound testing for noninvasive pediatric cardiology services.
Responsibilities- Echocardiograms: Perform transthoracic and assist with transesophageal echocardiograms of pediatric, adult congenital, and fetal patients, capturing high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and related structures using 2D, Color, Doppler, strain, and 3D modalities.
- Patient Care: Demonstrate competence in delivering patient care, including patient assessment, pre and post-procedure care, and maintaining BLS certification.
- Consultation: Provide consultation and collaboration with healthcare providers regarding pediatric echocardiograms.
- Patient Documentation: Monitor and record patient information, maintain report storage and data systems, and compile and enter data necessary for charge entry and video archiving.
- 1-3 years of echo experience preferred.
- Fetal echo experience is a plus.
- Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or related field.
- ARDMS or CCI registered/registry eligible in Pediatric Echocardiography.
This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek. The salary range is $43.31 per hour (minimum to midpoint), with pay offers determined by experience and internal equity. The work assignment type is onsite, with a variable work schedule. The location of the job is in Chapel Hill, NC.
