The Emergency Medical Transport Specialist will be a vital member of the HCA Grand Strand Health EMS Transport Services team. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient treatment and transport of patients within our healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate emergency medical vehicles and respond promptly to urgent calls for assistance.
- Assess patient conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer a range of emergency medical interventions to individuals who are injured, ill, or incapacitated.
- Perform critical procedures under challenging circumstances.
- Manage non-medical situations, including crowd control and safeguarding patient belongings when necessary.
- Lift and transport patients while maintaining their stability throughout the journey.
- Relay patient information and conditions to medical professionals at treatment facilities.
Qualifications:
- A valid SC Paramedic license is mandatory.
- A clean driving record is required, with no more than six points and no unsafe driving history.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS provider cards from recognized organizations are necessary.
- Completion of an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) or equivalent within 90 days of hire.
