Job Opportunity: Bus Diesel Mechanic

North East Transportation Company CTtransit Waterbury is seeking a skilled Bus Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our bus fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and inspection of City Transit and Paratransit bus fleet
  • Working in a state-of-the-art bus maintenance facility
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in the mechanics' field
  • CDL license with passenger and air brake endorsement required or to be obtained within 6 months of employment
  • Transit experience is a plus

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate: $28.00 to $35.75 per hour based on knowledge, experience, and certification
  • Full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Benefits package including fully employer-funded premium for family medical, prescriptions, dental, and vision

  • Annual check to assist with CDL and medical card fees
