Overview:
The Patient Registration Specialist serves as a vital initial contact for patients and their families. Candidates who possess strong communication abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality are encouraged to explore this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service through effective scheduling and patient registration.
- Conduct interviews with incoming patients and/or their representatives, accurately recording essential identifying information.
- Guide patients in navigating available services and resources.
Work Schedule:
This position offers variable shifts on a PRN basis, including rotating weekends and various shifts.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of six months of prior experience in the healthcare sector is necessary.
- Experience in registration and admissions is preferred.
- Familiarity with switchboard systems and procedures is advantageous.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and interpersonal abilities.
- A basic understanding of medical terminology is beneficial.
