Nursing Unit Associate Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Nursing Unit Associate. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the nursing units, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and exceptional patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Assist with unit activities such as admissions, discharges, patient transfers, and supply management.
  • Cordinate patient flow and ensure efficient communication between departments.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities, contributing to data collection, analysis, and implementation of risk management and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and documents, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Support leadership by attending meetings, participating in training programs, and demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration among staff members, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a dynamic, patient-centered environment with minimal supervision. You must be able to lift 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $23.02 per hour, based on location and industry standards.
