Middle River Aerostructure Systems is a world-leading manufacturer of complex aerostructures, including nacelle systems and specialized structural components of the airframe. We supply and support these products for engine makers, airplane manufacturers, and aircraft operators. Our 1.4-million sq. ft. facility, situated on 180 acres, has been designing, building, and equipping civil and military aircraft for over 95 years. In addition to our design, development, and manufacturing capabilities, we provide technical support, spares, and other services for our products.
Supplier Quality Engineer Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in quality engineering and a proven track record of improving supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation.
- Product, process, and systemic quality review associated with the product procurement process.
- Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed.
- Requires mastery of a body of theoretical knowledge.
- Requires developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant purchasing and sourcing concepts.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing or Quality Engineering).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Effective problem identification and solution skills.
- Proven analytical and organizational ability.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%.
