Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our prestigious law firm. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough legal research, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and representing clients in preliminary hearings and depositions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to identify pivotal litigation points and develop solid case foundations.
  • Draft, review, and refine legal documents, including motions, briefs, and contracts, to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Represent clients in preliminary hearings and depositions, working closely with senior attorneys to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Engage in client consultations to gather information, provide legal advice, and establish trust with clients.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for trials, ensuring the highest level of preparation and expertise.
  • Stay up-to-date with current laws and legal trends by attending legal workshops, seminars, and court proceedings.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal arguments, applications, declarations, and motions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting on case developments and outcomes.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and firm internal communications, adhering to the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to continuously refine our case management processes, ensuring the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Address and resolve case-related issues promptly, ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining a positive reputation for the firm.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California Bar with 3-5 years of experience as an Associate Attorney.
  • Proficient understanding of client communication protocols, from initial intake to case conclusion.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in MS Office and legal databases.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Familiarity with standard office equipment.
  • Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
