You will develop a plan of care for each patient, including a complete medical history, physician examination, diagnosis, and appropriate treatment or referral.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat patients for gastroenterology illnesses and disorders
- Develop a plan of care for each patient, including complete medical history, physician examination, diagnosis, and appropriate treatment or referral
- Confer with consulting physicians, nurses, patients, and patients' families concerning treatment and care of patients
- Refer cases that require specialist services but maintain responsibility, ensuring continuity of care is provided
- Frequent travel to worksites in the New Orleans area
- License to practice medicine in Louisiana
- Completion of an internal medicine residency
- Completion of a gastroenterology fellowship
