Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Nursing Faculty member to teach in our clinical or laboratory courses, working with undergraduate students in a BSN nursing program. The successful candidate will have experience in clinical or laboratory teaching and be able to teach in various specialty areas, including medical/surgical, mental health, public health, maternal health, and pediatric nursing.

Responsibilities
  • Teach in clinical settings, per specialty area
  • Teach in nursing skills and simulation labs
  • Evaluate students in clinical and/or skills, including performance exams
  • Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to advance diversity and inclusive excellence in the department and the discipline
  • Attend scheduled teaching team meetings
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years clinical experience in the specialty area
  • Previous experience as a nurse educator in an academic setting or as a preceptor of students or new nursing employees would be an asset
  • Masters degree in Nursing
  • Current Minnesota RN Licensure or eligibility
  • Clinical practice experience in the specialty area
