Field Service Generator Technician

Position Overview

The Field Service Generator Technician is an essential member of our Service Team, tasked with the upkeep and management of generator service agreements.

  • Conduct service, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel and natural gas engine generators, transfer switches, and associated service equipment.
  • Execute preventative maintenance activities, which include oil changes, lubrication, and load testing.
  • Interpret and utilize technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics effectively.
  • Adhere to safety standards and ensure the proper maintenance of company-owned tools and equipment.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to maintain a positive organizational image.

Position Type

  • This is a full-time hourly role that requires adaptability to accommodate customer demands and schedules, including participation in on-call rotations and after-hours support.

Key Competencies

  • Comprehensive knowledge of diesel and natural gas generators.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment to service excellence.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills and a readiness to embrace new technologies.
  • Effective time-management and communication skills.

Work Environment

This role primarily involves working on commercial, industrial, and residential sites.

Physical Demands

Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for prolonged periods, climbing stairs, and performing various physical tasks.

Work Authorization

A background check is required at the time of employment and periodically thereafter.
