Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our team at Maine Medical Center - Portland. As a Cardiac Telemetry specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to cardiac patients, including those with cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, and coronary disease.
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Participate in unit-specific initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in acute care, preferably in cardiac telemetry.
  • Strong proficiency in reading telemetry strips and interpreting cardiac rhythms.
  • Experience with cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, and coronary disease.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Epic EMR system.
  • Knowledge of cardiac medications and treatments.
  • Ability to work with patients with complex medical conditions.
Work Schedule

7p-7a, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend.

Call Requirements

None.

Float Requirements

Will float to other med/surg units as needed.
