Job Overview

At BBR Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Engineer to join our Data Solutions team. This individual will serve as a technical resource and collaborate with our researchers, analysts, and operations teams to drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with external vendors, Portfolio Management, Research, and Trading teams to develop analytics outputs and forward-looking portfolio decision tools.
  • Participate in data management and modernization activities for key firm-wide projects.
  • Manage data automation tasks to collect, input, and report fund and investment manager transparency/exposure data from multiple sources.
  • Contribute to the generation of portfolio review presentations for our clients and manage reporting workflows.
  • Cross-train with Portfolio Management, Portfolio Accounting, Trading, and Reporting groups within Data Management and support them as needed.
  • Continuously improve document processes and workflows to enhance team and firm efficiency.
Requirements
  • Experience using Python for data automation/ETL automation (e.g., Pandas, git, SQL, Airflow/Prefect/Dagster).
  • Experience with *nix and Bash.
  • At least 1 year of experience in investment management, market data, financial services, or fintech.
  • Excellent quantitative, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with a fair degree of autonomy and demonstrate tremendous initiative and sense of personal accountability.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across the full spectrum of internal stakeholders.
  • Intellectually curious out-of-the-box thinker who is passionate about brainstorming innovative ways to use data to solve business problems.
  • Demonstrates unquestioned ethics and credibility and strives to exemplify the highest ethical standards.
  • Experience working with and delivering data visualization and reporting using enterprise tooling (e.g., Sigma, Tableau, Power-BI) (Preferred).
