Job Summary:

Wings and Waves water park is seeking highly motivated and skilled Lifeguards to join our dynamic water safety team. As a Lifeguard I - Water Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers in all areas of the water park. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and apply Basic Lifesaving skills, provide exceptional customer service, and be part of a team that prioritizes guest safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily safety checks to identify potential hazards and take proactive measures to prevent accidents.
• Provide excellent customer service to all guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Inspect and maintain slides, pools, and rescue equipment daily to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Attend training sessions and in-services as required to stay up-to-date on the latest safety protocols and procedures.
• Enforce all water park policies and procedures to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for guests.
• Recognize and prevent potential accident situations, rescuing guests showing signs of distress and administering first aid as necessary.
• Perform job duties safely and effectively in compliance with waterpark policies, procedures, and employee manual.
• Adhere to the waterpark dress code and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Knowledge of park and campus events and respond to guest inquiries as appropriate.
• Assist with janitorial, maintenance, or office work as needed to support the smooth operation of the water park.
• Maintain a punctual, regular, and predictable attendance, being available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to a positive and respectful work culture.
• Respectfully take direction from management and adapt to changing circumstances as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 15 years old to apply for this position.
• Ellis and Associates Shallow Attractions Lifeguard Training Credential required, which qualifies candidates to dispatch slides, unload slides, and lifeguard the children's play structure.
• First Aid, CPR/Oxygen Administration/AED certification included in the Ellis and Associates Shallow Attractions Lifeguard Training Credential.
• Wings and Waves will provide training for candidates who are not already certified or need to be recertified.
