About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Talent Relations Consultant to join our team at TrueNorth Companies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for seeking and acquiring talent for our business development roles, facilitating interviews for our traditional employee model, and serving as an ambassador for our One TrueNorth culture and building lasting relationships for the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Brand Ambassador, promoting our One TrueNorth culture and colleague experience, including benefits and perks.
  • Represent the organization at Company Functions, industry conferences, and career fairs, occasionally involving travel, networking, and sharing information with prospects.
  • Use communication templates, HRIS, project management software, and checklists to document and escalate candidates through the talent acquisition process.
  • Ensure proper documentation and sharing with teammates.
  • Schedule and conduct phone, video interviews, and meet-and-greet events, with or without hiring managers, and make recommendations on next steps using proper screening tools.
  • Conduct and document reference checks, background checks, and pre-screening assessments, and manage invoicing for corresponding profit centers.
  • Attend networking events, such as conferences, dinners, and happy hours, alongside Practice Leads and W2 colleagues to identify and cultivate talent prospects.
  • Collaborate with community partners to increase visibility of vacancies and solicit quality referrals.
  • Collaborate with the Legal Department to ensure efficient K1 agreements and offers, while working closely with Practice Leads to align new K1 resources with budgets.
  • Coordinate with the Business Development Manager and Human Systems team to enhance training, onboarding timelines, and learning initiatives.
  • Lead Creative team efforts in advertising and outreach initiatives, such as open requisition blasts, promotional material design, and community partnership programs.
  • Prioritize talent acquisition goals, including reducing Time to Hire metrics, diversifying colleague demographics, and incorporating TrueNorth values into the hiring process.
  • Identify process improvements for the talent strategy, develop standard operating procedures, and assist in training others.
  • Assist the Human Systems team with various recruiting and human resources initiatives as needed.
Requirements
  • Five plus years of experience in a professional/administrative work environment and/or networking or advocacy experience required.
  • Two years or more in the field of insurance required.
  • Two years or more performing sales or marketing functions required.
  • Two-year degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Three years of full cycle recruiting experience required.
  • Experience with diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic PowerPoint functions required.
