Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Resilient Healthcare in Houston. As a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise Preparation: Develop engaging exercises and activities to enhance physical therapy sessions with patients.
  • Counseling and Consultations: Provide expert guidance and support to new patients, their family members, and caregivers.
  • Goal-Oriented Care: Collaborate with physical therapists to set and achieve patient goals, identifying areas of progress and challenges.
  • Direct Patient Care: Assist physical therapists in providing direct patient care, adhering to individual plans of care.
  • Preparation and Safety: Prepare equipment and exam rooms, ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed.
  • Documentation: Complete required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Continuing Education: Attend continuing education courses to advance knowledge and expertise within the field.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Texas.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation.
  • Education: Associate degree in Physical Therapy is required.
  • Confidentiality: Demonstrates knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws.
  • Professionalism: Experienced in working with sensitive patient records and information.
  • Problem-Solving: Proficient in troubleshooting common software and hardware challenges.
  • Physical Demands: Physical endurance and ability to work primarily in a standing position, with the capacity to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrates a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, family members, or other staff members.
  • Attention to Detail: Accountability and attention to detail are essential when handling and documenting important medical information.
