About the Role

Sunroc Corporation, a family-owned business with over 80 years of experience, is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our asphalt crew. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating various road-surfacing equipment, ensuring high-quality results and meeting compaction requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment, specifically asphalt rollers, productively, efficiently, and safely.
  • Work collaboratively with the screedman and foreman to complete projects to the highest standards.
  • Assist the crew with asphalt raking and shoveling as needed.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure it remains in safe working condition.
  • Direct, teach, and assist laborers and operators as assigned.
  • Clean up job sites at the end of each shift.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
  • CDL and ability to run a distributor truck (plus) but not required.
  • Ability to work long hours in summer and winter conditions.
  • Lift and move at least 50 lbs.
