Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at UHS. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the quality of care delivered to patients, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of clinical excellence.
  • Assess the clinical appropriateness of patient admissions and collaborate with the Assessment and Referral team to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments for individuals under their care, identifying areas of need and developing effective treatment plans.
  • Provide individual therapy, family therapy, and medication management as needed, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams and collaborate with colleagues to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school, with completion of a residency in psychiatry and board certification preferred.
  • Current licensure as a medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) in the state of Pennsylvania.
