Research Opportunity at the University of Tennessee

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to join our research team at the University of Tennessee. The successful candidate will work on projects to explore mitochondrial respiration and molecular signaling in muscle stem cell-based tissue repair and regeneration in aging and disease, primarily using mice and cell culture models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and conduct experiments to investigate mitochondrial function and its role in muscle stem cell-based tissue repair and regeneration
  • Analyze data and interpret results to inform research findings and publications
  • Collaborate with the research team to develop and implement new research projects and ideas
  • Present research findings at national and international conferences
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Biology, Health Science, or a related field
  • Experience with molecular biology techniques, including PCR, Western blotting, and microscopy
  • Strong background in cell signaling and mitochondrial biology
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
