Clevelander Host

Job Summary:

The Clevelander Host is responsible for presenting a positive first impression of the establishment's friendliness, excellent service, and high standards. This person greets guests upon arrival, informs guests of their wait time, monitors a waiting list, enters guest's names into the system, shows guests to their table, and bids guests farewell as they exit the property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Presents a warm, welcoming, and outgoing first impression to guests entering and/or passing by the property entrances
• Delivers an enthusiastic and professional greeting to guests upon arrival to dining areas and adds them to the wait list when necessary
• Provides guests with menus and answers any initial questions
• Seats guests at tables and bars
• Assigns guests to tables in the venues they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive a manageable number of tables and a fair opportunity to interact and engage in the sales process
• Engages with guests to ensure happiness with the food and beverage services they receive
• Consistently delivers exceptional service to guests while entertaining in a professional manner in accordance with the Company's brand expectations
• Builds relationships with guests that add value to the guest experience
• Is knowledgeable and helpful about the local area, the hotel, and the hotel services, bar, and restaurant services
• Responds to complaints and seeks resolution, involves management in all guest-related issues or concerns
• Supports and assists team members in all positions
• Participates in in-house modeling programs, guest events, and performs model/presenter tasks at Clevelander events
• Maintains weight and appearance levels consistent with that at time of hire
• Models Clevelander apparel and accessories while greeting guests and maintains an appearance consistent with the Company's brand expectations
• Serves as a Brand Ambassador for Clevelander, using finesse and good judgment
• Maintains and ensures compliance of all policies and procedures at all times

Additional Functions:

• Documents maintenance issues
• Attends required meetings
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area
• Properly documents all transactions
• May need to assist with clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables
• Additional duties as necessary and assigned
