Job Title: Laboratory Technician - Diagnostic Services

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team at UMass Memorial Health Care. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, with a focus on evening shifts.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and reporting data for diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role may involve procedures across major areas of the laboratory or concentrating in one area, such as Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, or Microbiology.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory tests and report data for diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • May perform procedures across major areas of the laboratory or concentrate in one area.
  • Comply with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and seminars as required.
  • Demonstrate use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

Position Qualifications:

  • Registered MT (ASCP) or equivalent license.
  • Experience in a laboratory setting.
  • LIS experience is a plus.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
