Pharmacist in Charge Job Description

Nexus HR Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pharmacy and ensuring compliance with all applicable state laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform the duties of a pharmacist in a long-term-care pharmacy in compliance with policy and state/federal regulations.
  • Work with supervisory staff to develop and implement ideas for delivering high-quality, cost-effective services.
  • Supervise pharmacy support personnel, including work allocation and performance evaluation.
  • Delegate aspects of the practice of pharmacy to pharmacy interns or technicians within their job description.
  • Implement policy and regulatory required record systems and processes for the pharmacy.
  • Be available for on-call services if required.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Pharmacist in a retail or long-term care setting.
  • Licensed pharmacist in the state of California.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a specialty pharmacy.
  • Experienced and motivated pharmacist, determined to improve care for our patients.
  • Able to work in Oakland, CA.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
