The Registered Nurse utilizes their expertise in nursing theory, technical skills, and effective communication to provide compassionate care to patients and their families. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient needs and developing a comprehensive care plan in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Delivering direct patient care and evaluating progress throughout the patient's treatment.
- Providing education to patients and families to promote understanding of self-care and lifestyle changes post-hospitalization.
- Ensuring a healing environment by promoting comfort and emotional support.
The RN is expected to:
- Apply nursing knowledge and skills effectively in patient care delivery.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patient and family needs through active listening and observation.
- Create individualized care plans that are culturally relevant and appropriate for the patient's developmental stage.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to set goals and monitor progress.
- Adjust care plans based on patient responses and changing conditions.
- Administer medications and perform interventions with skill and precision.
Experience: Minimum of two years in a Medical-Surgical unit required.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License from the appropriate state board, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
