Role Summary and RequirementsNursing Coordinator
Under the general oversight of the unit's director, the Nursing Coordinator is responsible for guiding and coordinating all operations within the unit during designated shifts. Collaborating with the management team, this individual is tasked with the continuous evaluation of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, monitor, document, report, and respond to changes in patients' conditions.
- Create and maintain precise, comprehensive reports and records.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to evaluate, plan, implement, assess, and adjust care plans based on patient responses and conditions.
- Delegate nursing responsibilities as appropriate while maintaining accountability for patient care.
- Provide tailored education for patients, families, and caregivers throughout the care continuum.
- Adhere to safety and infection control standards in delivering patient care.
Qualifications Required:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- RN licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
