We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Bronson Healthcare. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologists to interpret.
Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images for radiologists to interpret.
- Review patient information and instruct patients on the examination process.
- Provide MRI services according to policy and procedure, considering the age and special characteristics of the patient.
- Clean, maintain, and monitor equipment, troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Report equipment problems to the supervisor and perform first aid as required.
- Observe and practice sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases.
- Provide quality MRI procedures for radiologist interpretation.
- Maintain appropriate supply levels in the department and demonstrate or oversee on-the-job training for student technologists and other non-professional assistants.
- Associate degree from an accredited school of Radiological Technology.
- At least three months of clinical and on-the-job training.
- Registry eligible or registered R.T. (MR) and/or ARMRIT certification.
- BLS required within six months of hire date.
This position involves considerable standing or walking, regular lifting of light-weight objects, and assisting with heavier tasks such as assisting in lifting and moving patients. Minor straining or fatiguing positions must be assumed, and some fatiguing physical motions are required.
BenefitsPart-time position with 48 hours per pay period, benefit eligible. Up to $2,500 sign-on bonus for external candidates. $2,500 retention bonus for external candidates. Scheduled weekly hours: 24. Cost center: 3106 Radiology MRI (BMH).
