Laboratory Scientist I

Position Overview:
Compensation for this role is set at $35.97 per hour, with actual remuneration influenced by experience, skills, and internal equity considerations.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The incumbent will execute a variety of standard and intricate clinical laboratory assessments in accordance with established protocols to generate data essential for the diagnosis and management of medical conditions.
Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science is required.
Successful completion of the ASCP or AMT Board of Certification CLS examination within the first year of employment is also a prerequisite.
Maintains current certification in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the relevant certifying body.
Possesses interpersonal skills adequate for effective interaction and communication with patients and other healthcare professionals.
Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and adept performance in high-pressure situations.
Must have sufficient academic, technical, and clinical expertise to assess, troubleshoot, research, and resolve daily challenges that may arise or special projects assigned by laboratory management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
While experience is not mandatory, 1-2 years in a similar role is preferred.
