We are seeking a highly skilled Vulnerability Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for supporting our government clients with vulnerability assessment and analysis using Qualys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and ad-hoc automated vulnerability scans using enterprise scanning applications or tools approved by the government.
  • Analyze scan results and validate remediated vulnerabilities identified during Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing engagements.
  • Support scanning and testing at the application and database level, refining and maturing scanning metrics and thresholds to positively affect program maturity.
  • Collaborate with system owners, system administrators, and ISSOs to define scope, develop test plans, and rules of engagement as necessary.
  • Facilitate remediation of findings in weekly DHS Cyber Hygiene reports and promote comprehensive scanning coverage of all Internet-reachable IT assets.
  • Identify corrective actions, compensating controls, and assist with POA&M development in CSAM.
  • Provide expertise in the review of new vulnerability technologies and capabilities, interacting with other technology divisions to facilitate deployment.

Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience in Information Assurance supporting federal government.
  • Hands-on experience with Qualys, including scanning with Security Technical Information Guides (STIG) and CIS benchmarks.
  • MS Excel pivot tables.
  • Related industry certifications such as GIAC GEVA, CASP, CAP, CISSP, CISM, GSEC, GMON, Security+.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
