Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ICU environment, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Monitor and maintain accurate patient records, including vital signs, lab results, and medication administration.
- Participate in code blue responses, providing critical care and life-saving interventions as needed.
- Conduct patient and family education, promoting health literacy and empowering patients to take an active role in their care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, research, and best practices in critical care nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
- BSN degree preferred, but not required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- At least 6 months of acute care nursing experience, with a strong background in critical care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.
- Certification in critical care nursing, such as CCRN or CCN.
