Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Advisor to join our team at New Paths Inc. As a Residential Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to our clients in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor client activity and ensure compliance with New Paths policies and procedures

• Execute job duties with a high priority of professionalism, client and staff safety, and accountability

• Establish a calm and supportive environment that promotes positive and healthy behaviors

• Communicate clearly and consistently with clients, staff, and visitors regarding client activities and incidents

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client activities and incidents

• Participate in regular team supervision, meetings, and trainings

• Work collaboratively with Therapists, Recovery Coaches, Care Coordinators, and other Residential Advisor staff members

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in Human Services and/or an Associate's Degree in a related field

• Clear and concise writing abilities

• Skill in communicating with a variety of people from varying backgrounds

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a human service or related field, experience in a residential setting or human service program, knowledge of substance use disorder dynamics and treatment methods, and knowledge of Genesee County Criminal Justice and Human Service Delivery Systems

• Physical demands include working in a professional office setting, using stairs, and regular computer keyboard use
