Position Summary:
The QC Inspector I plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of medical devices. This position involves meticulous inspection and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct inspections of medical devices following established standard operating procedures and product specifications.
2. Maintain accurate records of inspection activities and ensure compliance with relevant SOPs and Work Instructions.
3. Utilize SAP for recording inspection data, generating inventory reports, and managing complaints and returns.
4. Participate in special projects as assigned and collaborate with other departments to support operational schedules.
5. Ensure adherence to ISO and FDA regulations as outlined in the Quality Manual.
6. Engage in both independent and team-oriented tasks to meet Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Control, preferably in surgical instruments.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Proficient in using general inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and scales.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with SAP.
Skills:
- Ability to interpret technical documents and specifications.
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations and data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and auditors.
Physical Demands:
This role may require lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds and involves working in environments that may be exposed to biological materials.
