Job Overview

WB Warehousing & Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to oversee the inventory management within our facility. This position requires the individual to uphold precise inventory documentation, execute counts to reduce discrepancies, oversee stock levels, and track inventory movements effectively.

To excel in the role of Inventory Control Clerk, candidates should demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily cycle counts and monitor warehouse inventory.
  • Perform follow-up counts to verify accuracy.
  • Confirm product locations and address any discrepancies.
  • Assist in inventory assessments and quality control issues.
  • Gather data from various sources, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices, to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Manage back order files systematically and release back orders for shipment as stock becomes available.
  • Compile stock control records, analyzing consumption rates and current market conditions to assess supply needs.
  • Prepare requisitions and orders for acquiring new stock items.
  • Cross-reference nomenclature and stock numbers with catalogs and manuals to ensure requisition accuracy.
  • Review inventory files to identify unused items and recommend disposal of surplus stock.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory management and operational procedures.
  • At least 3 years of experience operating forklifts.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory management software.
  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) systems.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management practices, including cycle counting.
  • Good analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
