Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adequate staffing for shifts and departments based on resident needs.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with charge nurses on a daily basis.
- Conduct morning and evening rounds to evaluate residents' health, focusing on those in critical condition.
- Guarantee that each resident's personalized nursing care plan is properly understood and followed.
- Administer medication and provide direct care to residents as necessary.
- Orient, train, and mentor nursing staff to enhance their skills and competencies.
- Enforce safety protocols and review incident reports for thoroughness and accuracy.
- Assist in the development and execution of the facility's quality improvement initiatives.
- Above all, ensure that residents and their families receive exceptional care in a compassionate environment that respects individual needs and rights.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Current licensure with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
- Proven experience in nursing, with supervisory experience in long-term care settings.
- In-depth knowledge of nursing principles, techniques, procedures, and medication management.
- Ability to interact positively with staff, residents, regulatory agencies, and the public.
