Senior Packaging Process Engineer

Starbucks is seeking a Senior Packaging Process Engineer to join our team at the Georgia Roasting Plant. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for improving the efficiency and quality of our packaging lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement processes to measure, analyze, and improve packaging equipment OEE
  • Participate or lead process troubleshooting of packaging equipment issues
  • Promote and develop strong working relationships with maintenance, operations, and quality teams
  • Work with suppliers of packaging raw materials to highlight variability issues and communicate out of specification challenges
  • Qualify new finished goods product formats
  • Identify new technologies and solutions to deliver improvements in packaging throughput
  • Lead continuous improvement and smaller scale capital projects to improve packaging uptime, first time right, and safety

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree (electrical, mechanical, chemical, or industrial) with 8+ years of experience
  • Engineering design and implementation experience in a particular area of specialization
  • Performance metrics development and root cause analysis experience
  • Strategic planning of projects
  • Consumer products or food company and plant experience, either technical or production
  • Experience with optimizing packaging raw material (corrugate, film, adhesives, etc)
