SSM Health is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our team in the Patient Transport department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Job Responsibilities- Assist in performing a variety of nursing care services for patients, including bathing, ambulating, feeding, and personal hygiene.
- Collect and document data for the admission assessment and reassessment at specific times for patient population.
- Contribute to safety and quality care by relaying information via charting and communicating to team members.
- Prepare patients for discharge and accompany them upon dismissal as indicated.
- Stock and maintain supplies and equipment in keeping with patient care needs and cost containment.
- Perform delegated clerical duties, such as answering telephones, relaying messages, and preparing and organizing the patient's medical record.
- Completion of an approved nurse aide training program and passing grade on state of work location required exam.
- No experience required.
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible opportunity scheduled 32 hours per week on the day shift. Shifts are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm during the week. Every 5th weekend rotation is required, with the following Saturday also working. Holiday rotation is one per year. This department has a 30-minute call time.
