Key Responsibilities
  • Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to security guidelines.
  • Balance cash supplies and maintain accurate records, adhering to cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service, representing the Bank and its products with pride and enthusiasm.
  • Identify customer needs and provide information on products and services, building awareness of new offerings and capitalizing on business referral opportunities.
  • Review customer transactions for red flags and fraudulent items, maintaining awareness of current scams and preventing customers from becoming victims.
  • Assist customers with account reconcilement, copies of statements, and other services.
  • Gather data and process reports to ensure compliance with Bank policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High School Degree or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year cash handling experience in a customer-facing role or experience in a banking environment with basic knowledge of bank deposit products and services.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and customer service.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions using available information, and collaborate effectively as a team member.
  • Basic knowledge of Bank deposit products and services.
  • Ability to understand customer loan requests and make appropriate referrals.
What We Offer

Mechanics Bank offers a competitive hourly rate of $22.00, with a final compensation package determined by work experience, education, and/or skill level, as well as internal equity and geographic market data.
