ECMO Technician

We are seeking a skilled ECMO Technician to join our team at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. As an ECMO Technician, you will be responsible for operating extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) equipment and performing ECMO therapy according to physician orders.

This is a full-time night shift position, working 3,12-hour shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. You will be required to have ECMO Specialist experience and be credentialed as a Registered Nurse, Respiratory Care Practitioner, or Respiratory Therapist from the Florida Board of Nursing or Florida Board of Respiratory Care.

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on education, experience, and qualifications.

• Operate ECMO equipment and perform ECMO therapy according to physician orders.
• Monitor pump functioning throughout patient therapy and maintain pump integrity.
• Monitor circuit volume and administer products, medications, and volumes as ordered.
• Monitor anticoagulation, electrolyte, acid-base balance, and blood-gas composition values and adjust ECMO circuit to maintain physician's orders.

You will also be responsible for generating and compiling appropriate documentation and charges related to ECMO, as well as precepting new ECMO team members.
