Job Description:

In this role, you will oversee the development and implementation of EDI systems, processes, and supplier interactions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage EDI projects and ensure seamless electronic data exchange with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of EDI development and support team, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.
  • Leading modernization efforts and supervising cloud migration.
  • Managing EDI solution design, development, and implementation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and business requirements.
  • Collaboration with IT, operations, and business analysts to gather requirements, define EDI processes, and establish integration points.
  • Project planning, resource allocation, and monitoring project timelines and deliverables.
  • Establishing EDI connections with external trading partners, documenting requirements, and facilitating testing and certification processes.
  • Developing and maintaining EDI maps, transformations, and data mappings for seamless data exchange between internal systems and external partners.
  • Ensuring EDI system reliability, availability, and security, proactively monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Staying updated on EDI standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies, proposing new solutions to improve EDI processes and enhance data exchange capabilities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in EDI or a related position.
  • Strong experience in EDI development, implementation, and support, preferably in a Lead role.
  • Sound technical expertise in EDI standards and protocols (e.g., ANSI X12) and firsthand experience with EDI translators and communication protocols (e.g., AS2, FTP, SFTP).
  • Experience with understanding and developing EDI mapping and Companion Guides.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and integration with EDI.
  • Development experience on IBM Sterling B2B suite with Remedi Framework in creating business processes, maps, trading partner setups, and configurations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical EDI information to business and IT peers.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
