Qualifications for Pharmacist
Minimum Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Proficient in reading and comprehending the English language. Capable of maintaining confidentiality and communicating effectively with all personnel levels. Must work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are essential. Must engage with individuals from diverse cultures and maintain confidentiality. Team collaboration is crucial, along with a keen attention to detail.
Experience: A minimum of three years in retail pharmacy.
Essential Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet navigation. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Preferred Skills: Familiarity with pharmacy software systems for daily operations. Previous experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) or public health settings is advantageous.
Educational Background: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
Licensure: Unrestricted Pharmacy license in North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist
- Dispense prescriptions accurately (including product selection, counting, measuring, and labeling).
- Organize and maintain prescription files (including controlled substances).
- Identify and remove outdated or recalled products from inventory.
- Adhere to company protocols in the event of dispensing errors.
- Engage with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies.
- Utilize PMG System for patient financial records.
- Employ EMR System for patient information management and communication.
- Conduct accurate cash management and transaction processes.
- Facilitate the training and development of Pharmacy Technicians.
