Punta Gorda Police Department is seeking a dedicated Public Safety Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order in the city, enforcing traffic laws, and responding to emergency calls. The estimated annual salary for this position is $64,078.56 - $90,941.76.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, making a positive impact on the community. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Maintaining law and order in the city
  • Enforcing traffic laws
  • Responding to emergency calls
In addition to your role, you will also be required to meet certain qualifications, including a high school diploma or equivalent, an associate degree in police science or a related field, and a valid Florida driver's license. You must also hold a current Florida Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) Certificate.

As a Public Safety Officer, you can expect to work in a variety of conditions, including outside in different weather conditions, and may be required to work irregular hours.
