Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join our team at Biogensys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate under the guidance of the Chemical Terrorism Laboratory supervisor, serving as an analyst within the Chemical Threat unit.
  • Conduct testing and prepare samples for the Laboratory Response Network for Chemical Threats.
  • Assist in the examination of Per- and Polyfluorinated Alkyl Substances (PFAS) in biological samples for academic collaborations.
  • Utilize advanced instrumentation including Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS); experience with these techniques is preferred.
  • Perform data analysis and review Quality Control (QC) measures. Participate in the annual revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with CLIA/CLIS standards.
  • Manage sample preparation, accessioning, inventory control, and supply ordering.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and GC-MS/MS techniques.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
  • Lunch break from 12 PM to 1 PM
