Our Float Pool is essential in adapting to the fluctuating patient census and staffing requirements throughout our facilities. We require a minimum of one year of recent RN experience to join our Float Pool team.
To acknowledge the flexible nature of these roles, we offer an additional differential to all Float Pool staff.
As a member of our Float Pool, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities.Given the nature of the role, it is crucial that our staff exhibit a patient-centered approach, demonstrate flexibility, and take initiative to provide outstanding care.

Position Summary:
Delivers professional nursing care within an assigned unit; collaborates on care planning with interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Correlates patient history and support systems within hospital care/nursing home care.
2. Assesses learning needs of patients and families.
3. Develops and initiates care plans, involving patients and families.
4. Recommends appropriate interventions.
5. Evaluates the effectiveness of care plans.
6. Resolves moderately complex issues independently.
7. Demonstrates willingness to mentor employees/students as directed and reviews clinical performance with unit leaders.
8. Exhibits competence in performing critical skills, ensuring appropriate care delivery according to the age-specific needs of the population served.
10. Adheres to policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required educational assignments annually. Works towards achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
None specified; however, must meet the standards for licensure and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience:
Must possess at least one (1) year of professional nursing experience.
Licensure Requirement:
Must maintain Tennessee State RN licensure. CPR certification is required.
RN license.
