Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Nurse to join our team at Patient Centered Services LLC in Washington, D.C. This role plays a vital part in promoting the health and well-being of students, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide immediate care and emergency assistance to students and staff.
  • Assess and manage chronic and acute health conditions among students.
  • Administer medications and monitor students for side effects.
  • Conduct health screenings, manage immunization records, and ensure compliance with health requirements.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) for students with specific medical needs.
  • Offer health education and guidance on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate student health records in accordance with confidentiality policies.
Requirements
  • License: Current DC LPN or RN license is mandatory.
  • Certification: BLS (CPR and AED) certification is required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a school setting or pediatric care is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with a dedication to student safety and well-being.

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 per year, considering the location and job responsibilities.
