The role of the Construction Superintendent is pivotal within our organization. Reporting to the general superintendent or project manager, the Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of construction projects. This includes managing trades, subcontractors, and company personnel to ensure project objectives are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage all construction activities to ensure adherence to project schedules.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to the job site.
  • Coordinate the efforts of subcontractors to maintain workflow and prevent conflicts.
  • Monitor project progress and implement necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Prepare and submit daily progress reports to track project milestones.
  • Organize and lead weekly safety and progress meetings with staff and subcontractors.
  • Assist in the preparation of project estimates, bid packages, and budgets.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in construction management, specifically as a Project Superintendent or Foreman.
  • Experience in managing tank or fueling system projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project demands.
