Progressive Care Unit Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a PCU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
About the JobAs a Progressive Care Unit Nurse, you will work with patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment but aren't unstable enough to need ICU care. You will utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information, detecting any changes and enabling intervention of life-threatening or emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
- Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
You should be prepared to perform these tasks while working in a dynamic environment that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills. Our ideal candidate is able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.

Salary InformationThe estimated salary for this position is $115,000 per year, based on a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour shifts.
